Hillsong Epicentre Opened by NSW Premier Mike Baird
On Sunday 11 December 2016, the NSW Premier Mike Baird officially opened the Epicentre at Hillsong Baulkham Hills Campus. Senior Pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston hosted the event where up to a thousand people gathered in the generous forecourt to see the ribbon cutting.
The Epicentre is the latest of a series of projects that NBRSARCHITECTURE has partnered with Hillsong over the last 20 years.
The Epicentre will be a base for Hillsong’s continued global impact. The state-of-the-art facility accommodates TV Studios, a Recording Studio, Rehearsal Suites, Hillsong College, Children’s Ministry, Youth Centre, a 600-seat tiered auditorium and purposed designed areas for additional needs children.
Richard Crookes Construction have completed the project through a fast-tracked final stage of 12 months.
The facility is highly technical and complex. The team at NBRS have designed and administered this significant project over a staged 10 years. Project Director Andrew Duffin, along with the Project Architect Barry Flack and Architect John Vasco, have guided the project, which will be fully operational from 2017 and will be a nurturing and creative Epicentre for Hillsong’s global footprint.
