New Enquiring Learning Centre at Inaburra School
Flexibility is the key, enabling students to arrange their workspace in a way that facilitates the activity of the moment. The Commons provides an experience akin to contemporary tertiary education facilities.” – Tim Bowden, Principal Inaburra School.
The Inaburra School community gathered on Friday 21st July 2017 to see the Federal Treasurer Scott Morrison open the new Enquiry & Learning Centre and adjacent immersive outdoor environment.
The project is the most recent in a series produced through the close collaboration with NBRS Architects, Interior Designers and Landscape Architects. The $12 million project is the next piece completed as part of a long standing creative partnership between the school and NBRSARCHITECTURE.
In 2011 NBRS completed the successful Performing Arts Centre as an early project in the Masterplan development. Other classroom and facility refurbishments have also been completed as part of Inaburra Schools Modern Learning initiatives.
The latest project has delivered a new platform of Learning Environments, incorporating open, adaptable spaces defined through level changes and furniture. Other modern learning initiatives include a positive mix of educational stages, wet areas for immersive learning, natural light filled spaces providing better environmental connectivity, collaborative staff office space and outdoor play which will challenge development.
Scott Morrison, the School Board and the principal Tim Bowden thanked NBRSARCHITECTURE for a new creative learning environment, helping to transform the social learning interactions of the entire school community.
