ICOMOS GA2020 Launch
‘Shared Cultures – Shared Heritage – Shared Responsibility’
The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) is a non-governmental international organisation associated with UNESCO, dedicated to the conservation and protection of the world’s cultural heritage places. Since 1965 the body has been pivotal in connecting and creating dialogue between architects, historians and international experts around the importance of heritage globally. Australia ICOMOS was formed in 1976 and is our peak professional body whose mission includes raising standards, encouraging debate and generating innovative ideas.
The GA2020 launch event was held in the Gold Melting Room at the historic Mint Building in Macquarie Street, Sydney, and brought together Australia’s leading heritage practitioners. NBRS, as a longstanding heritage practice, is proud to support the event and are excited to participate in raising the awareness of heritage issues with a broader audience.
