Learning Environments Australasia Award Winner

Learning Environments Australasia Award Winner

Jun 13, 2019 | Posted by NBRS ARCHITECTURE | News |

NBRS is pleased to have been announced as winner of the 2019 Learning Environments Australasia Award for New Individual Facility Over $8m.

“The vision of the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning (TISL) is to reveal innovative concepts for science, learning and conservation. Creating an interactive, immersive experience, setting Taronga apart from other science and research institutions. NBRSARCHITECTURE’s concept for the new facility is the discovery of patterns in nature. This concept was incorporated from the initial masterplan through to the detailed design.”

85 projects were entered into the awards and the awards ceremony were part of the annual conference held in Perth. The festival ‘Transformance’ is held yearly “for educators and architects by educators and architects”. With the theme of people, places and pedagogy running throughout the conference it is a leading learning spaces event for the Asia Pacific region.

The LEA Awards have been shaping the landscape of learning environments for nearly 20 years and NBRS is delighted to be recognised by such a peak body in this sector. To be chosen from such a strong pool of entries shows the high calibre of the educational space landscape within Australia. NBRS is excited to build the future of learning spaces and we cherish this opportunity to see the future of pedagogical spaces for the next generation.
