3 Cheers for 3 Careers
Well before the challenging times of 2020 hit the globe, 3 long standing NBRS staff advised of their retirement plans. July 2020 marks the time when Geoff Deane, Garry Hoddinnett and Barry Flack will complete long distinguished careers with NBRSARCHITECTURE. Between them there has been over 100 years of combined service to our practice.
All three have helped build the reputation and culture of the NBRS we know today. They began at NBRS in the 1980’s. Fax machines were the new communication tools, computer drafting was in its infancy and NBRS had a staff of around 20.
Nearly 40 years ago, Geoff, Garry and Barry joined us with youthful enthusiasm and forged some of our defining projects and client relationships that set the benchmark for the following generation.
Geoff served as a director for more than 30 years. Three of those years as Chairman of the Board. Project highlights have been in Education and Church projects with particular mention of work at PLC Sydney and Tara Anglican School.
Garry served as a director for 14 years. Three of those years as Deputy Chairman of the Board. Project highlights have been a number Anglican Schools and recently the Knox Grammar Performing Arts Centre.
Barry served as Senior Associate for approximately 10 years. Project highlights have been for Hillsong Church Auditoriums and Epicentre and more recently the Sutherland Entertainment Centre.
Geoff, Garry and Barry have set the tone of nurturing relationships within NBRS and our external partners to build long lasting connections. Our leadership structure and enduring commitment to life changing environments owes much to these three gentlemen who have been integral in forming our strong DNA.
We all want to give a heartfelt thank you to Geoff, Garry, and Barry on their dedicated service to NBRS and wish them every good blessing in the years to come.
