Conservation of An Iconic Neo-Gothic Mansion: Bishopscourt
NBRS has provided technical advice on the conservation of the historic house Bishopscourt. Works included advice on decorative elements imported from England in the 1850s including stained glass, papier mâché and Minton floor tiles. Additionally the Studio worked collaboratively with other consultants to develop a master plan for its garden setting.
The residence was constructed in a number of stages commencing in the 1830s, with significant additions undertaken in the 1850s by Edmund Blacket.
