The Astor
Sydney, NSW
Reviving the 1920s
The legacy of The Astor is a conserved facade with renewed windows that, with maintenance, will prove serviceable for many decades to come. It has restored a level of comfort, utility and delight to those who live at there. Additionally it has restored its place as landmark apartment building on Macquarie Street.
NBRSARCHITECTURE worked collaboratively with other consultants in a review and advisory role for the Board. Additionally NBRS prepared the Conservation Management Plan, Statement of Heritage Impact and details of the works to the significant heritage listed building.
The building was designed by architects Esplin & Mould and completed in 1923.
