St Patrick’s College
New Grounds for a Vibrant School
The St Patrick’s College campus was divided by Edgar Street requiring hundreds of students to traverse this public space between learning spaces many times a day. The purchase of the street created an opportunity for a new centre piece for the school. As a result the design divided the strongly linear space into four sections; a new main entry, a driveway to the chapel forecourt, the “headmasters lawn” and an open green space for the students incorporating a commemorative plinth. Overall serviceability has been improved with a dedicated delivery access and a small car park.
