M3 Building Faculty of Nursing, UWS
University of Western Sydney, Hawksbury Campus
A Previously Dilapidated Building Transformed into a Vibrant Learning Centre
Adaptive reuse of a heritage building into contemporary educational facilities for the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The building was quite dilapidated and needed to be completely refurbished internally and substantially externally. Covered in 70 years of pipes, cables, ducts and alterations with power deficiencies and general dilapidation, a major stripping down to the structure resulted. The new M3 Building is now an exemplar structure and a great addition to the UWS Hawksbury Campus.
