Infants Engage with the Fabrication of a New School
The 22nd of August 2017 saw the opening of the brand-new Infants Campus at St George Christian School in Sans Souci of Sydney’s South. An innovative modular building designed by NBRSARCHITECTURE, the entire structure was assembled offsite and installed with minimal impact on the students, teachers and local community.
“Education specialists NBRS designed a two storey modular solution set on a tight urban site delivering agile learning spaces with strong connections to sun drenched outdoor learning and play areas. Through clever design ideas the modules were constructed in a factory in Newcastle, transported to site, then clicked together to produce a remarkable new learning environment.”
Within just two terms St George Christian School was able to open its doors and provide new multi-use spaces and versatile classrooms for some of their youngest students.
The opening was celebrated by students, staff and the wider community alike. Pictured below are a number of paintings and drawings by SGCS students to commemorate the install of the buildings.
