Creating a Research Centre for Young Women
This new Research Facility for Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Sydney developed the existing 2 storey library into a 4 storey research centre, requiring careful design and management to ensure it met the School’s brief for a State of the Art facility. This new development was to embrace and seamlessly incorporate advanced technology and recognized changes in pedagogy, respecting and enhancing its rich heritage context. The architecture is bold, handsome and respectful of its context. The interiors are more relaxed and playful, designed as an open plan environment with strong connections within and between floors.
